This Application is filed with a prayer to modify the Order dated 03.02.2021 passed in OA No.230/2021. The prayer in the OA was to consider the case for extension of benefit under the Non Functional Upgradation (NFU) Scheme to the applicants. During the course of the hearing, a question was put to the learned counsel for the applicant as to whether the scheme was adopted by the Ordnance Factory. He answered in the negative. That was taken note of and the OA was disposed of, directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation of the applicants regarding extension of the benefit of NFU, within a period of three months.
The correction, which is sought in this behalf, is that the scheme is already in force in the Ordnance Factory, as is evident from the letter dated 03.07.2020 and that the statement made by the learned counsel for the applicants does not reflect the correct state of affairs.
We therefore, recall the order dated 03.02.2021 and pass the following Order, in its place :-
"4. The NFU was introduced by the Government for the benefit of Group 'A' officers in the organised services. That was adopted by the Ordnance Factory and the same is evident from the order dated 03.07.2020. Once the scheme is in force, the benefits thereunder need to be extended periodically, to the eligible and qualified employees.
The question as to whether the applicants are entitled to be extended the benefit needs to be examined, with reference to the scheme, which is in force in the Ordnance Factory.
We, therefore, dispose of the OA, directing the respondents to consider the cases of the applicants for extension of NFU, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and to pass a reasoned and speaking order in that behalf.
There shall be no order as to costs."
MA is, accordingly, disposed of.
