Mr. Justice L. Narasimha Reddy:

This Contempt Petition is filed alleging that the respondents did not implement the order passed in OA No. 1147/2018 dated 04.09.2019. It is stated that the interest on delayed payments of pensionary benefits were not paid to him. He took Voluntary Retirement and according to law, there cannot be a delay beyond 8 months for payment of pension. The OA was disposed of on 04.09.2019 directing that the respondents shall pay interest at the GPF rates beyond 8 months permissible under Rule-59 of CCS (Pension) Rules.

2.

The respondents filed a compliance affidavit stating that the interest was calculated for the relevant period and a sum of Rs. 1,61,266/- was paid to the applicant on 23.06.2020.

3.

Though the applicant filed the rejoinder denying the contents of the compliance affidavit, we are convinced that the order of the Tribunal is complied with.

4.

The CP is, accordingly, closed.
