Judgment
Arindam Lodh, J
Heard Mr. Somik Deb, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. R. Chakraborty, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. Sarma, learned Additional GA appearing for the respondents-State.
By way of filing the instant writ petition, the petitioner only has prayed for completing the departmental proceeding initiated against him in the year 2020.
Mr. Somik Deb, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that though 3 years have been elapsed over from the date of initiation of the departmental proceeding, but, it has not been completed till today.
Mr. D. Sarma, learned Additional GA appearing for the respondents-State has submitted that a direction may be given to the respondents to complete the departmental proceeding within a period of one year from today.
Considering the submission of learned counsel appearing for the parties, I direct the respondents/competent authority to complete the departmental proceeding initiated against the petitioner within a period of 6 (six) months from today.
Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands allowed in the aforesaid terms.
