The applicant was issued an offer of appointment to the post of Telephone Attendant cum Dak Khallasi (TADK) by the Northern Railways, vide

order dated 30.07.2020, and requiring him to give his consent. It is stated that the applicant gave his consent on the next day itself. His grievance is

that the respondents are not permitting him to join the duty.

We heard Sh. Bijender Singh, learned counsel for the applicant and Sh. Manmohan Kumar Jha, learned counsel for the respondents, at the stage of

admission.

It is a matter of record that the applicant was offered the appointment to the post of Substitute TADK at Level 1 of 7th CPC on 30.07.2020. On the

next date itself, he gave his consent. He was also required to undergo the medical test. The reasons on account of which, the further steps could not

be taken in pursuance of the offer of appointment, needs to be communicated to the applicant. More than eight months have elapsed since the

applicant gave his consent.

We, therefore dispose of the OA directing the respondent no. 2, Divisional Railway Manager (Personnel), to inform the applicant about the status,

with reference to the offer of appointment dated 30.07.2020, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall

be no order as to costs.
