Heard both sides.
2.The petitioner belongs to Devendra Kula Vellalar community. He hails from Kodangipatti. The issue is whether on the petition mentioned date, the petitioner can celebrate the temple festival. The learned Government Advocate submits that there is some dispute in this regard.
3.The second respondent is directed to convene peace committee meeting on 10.04.2024 at 06.00 pm in his office. Ms.Avi Veena, Sub Inspector of Police, Vasuthevanallur is present in person. She is directed to intimate the rival parties about the holding of the peace committee meeting. Individual notice will not be sent. The parties shall be present in the office of the second respondent on 10.04.2024 at 06.00 pm. The Tahsildar may attend to this work the moment he is relieved of other duties. The second respondent is called upon to endeavour to amicably resolve the issue.
4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
