This petition has been filed by the petitioner through his wife, who is presently confined in Central Jail, Jodhpur seeking permanent parole.

Submissions have been made that earlier the application made by the petitioner came to be rejected by the respondents on 23.03.2022. Feeling aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner filed a petition being D.B. Criminal Writ Petition No.101/2022, which was decided on 18.04.2022, wherein the petition was rejected giving the petitioner liberty to renew prayer for permanent parole, if occasion so arises in changed circumstances.

Whereafter the petitioner filed another application dated 01.08.2022 (Annex.1), which remained pending with the respondents and has not been decided so far and, therefore, it is prayed that the respondents be directed to decide the application with expedition.

Learned Additional Advocate General though submits that recommendation for rejection of application was made, however, concedes that no order in this regard has so far been passed.

In that view of the matter, the instant petition filed by the petitioner is disposed of. The respondent competent authority is directed to decide the pending application dated 01.08.2022 filed by the petitioner expeditiously, in its next meeting, which shall not be beyond four weeks from today.
