Judgment
B.S.A. Swamy, J.—The petitioner filed this writ petition questioning the non-publication of the results of the students, who appeared for E.D.C.E.T.-99 with hall ticket Nos. 4253312 to 423555, under the impression that something went wrong somewhere.
The respondent filed his counter.
In the counter it is categorically stated that while some of the students in between the above hall ticket numbers failed in the examination some of them got rank more than 20,000. As per the guidelines issued by the Government, the Convenor has published the results up to the rank of 20,000 in the newspapers and rank cards were also sent to all the qualified candidates.
Hence I do not find any merit in this writ petition and it is accordingly dismissed. At the same time, during the course of arguments the Counsel appearing for the respondent-Convenor ED.C.E.T. 99 admitted that key to the question paper was not published. This Court has already taken a view that it is safe for the authorities, conducting examinations, as well as students if the key is published to the question papers with regard to EAMCET examination, I have no manner of doubt that the principle laid down by this Court is equally applicable to all common entrance test to maintain transparency in conducting these exams. Hence, the respondent is directed to take necessary steps atleast from next examinations for publication of key as per the direction of this Court.
