01.

The petitioner claims to be the owner of rice machine. However, according to him, the same is closed long back, but still the respondents have been continuously raising electricity bill, although he has approached the authorities by way of a proper application addressed to the Internal Grievance Redressal (IGR) Cell on 23.12.2023.

02.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition was also subject matter of the earlier writ petition bearing WP(C) No. 2447/2024 titled, “Nazir Ahmed Vs. UT of J&K and ors.”, which was disposed of vide order dated 11.10.2024, directing the respondents to consider the grievance of the petitioner within a period of one month by passing a speaking order. Therefore, if at all, there is non-compliance of the order passed by this Court in the earlier round of litigation, the remedy was to invoke the contempt jurisdiction of this Court and not to maintain second writ petition on the same cause of action.

03.

In this view of the matter, the petition held to be not maintainable, accordingly, is dismissed alongwith connected application, if any. However, the petitioner is at liberty to avail the appropriate remedy, as envisaged under law.
