T.R. Ramachandran Nair, J.—The Petitioner, who was the then President of the Parent Teacher''s Association of Govt. Vocational Higher Secondary School, Kulathoor, Neyyattinkara approached this Court seeking for a direction to the Respondents to consider Exhibit P1 representation to sanction Biology and connected Science subjects for study in the said School during the academic year 2004-05 itself.

2.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that so far the Government has not considered the request in the light of the local need and therefore the Government may be directed to take a decision on Exhibit P1.

3.

The learned Government Pleader submitted that in terms of the policy decision taken by the Government from time to time alone the courses are sanctioned. It is therefore pointed out that unless there is a current policy from the Government for sanctioning additional courses in respect of such schools, normally, the request cannot be granted.

4.

Evidently, the Petitioner in the Writ Petition may not be the President of the Parent Teacher Association now. It is upto the present office bearers of the Parent Teacher Association to submit a representation before the Government, whenever there is a change of policy as regards the sanction of such courses and if such a representation is filed, the matter will be considered by the Government in terms of the policy which is in force from time to time.

5.

With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. The Petitioner will produce a copy of the Writ Petition along with a copy of this judgment along with the representation. No costs.
