Mr. Nanda, learned advocate instructed by Mr. Kar, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner. He submits, his client is seeking allotment of land adjacent to the industry set up, under Odisha Government Land Settlement Act, 1962 and the rules framed thereunder. To that end, his client made representation to the Director of Mines, Department of Steel and Mines. He submits, his client will make fresh representation to the Collector, Keonjhar. There be direction upon the authority to consider the representation to be made.

Mr. Rout, learned advocate, Additional Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State.

Petitioner will communicate this order and its fresh representation, supported by relevant documents to opposite party no.4. Said opposite party is directed to consider and deal with the representation to be made and inform result thereof to petitioner within six weeks of communication. Mr. Nanda submits, opportunity of hearing be directed to be given. The Collector will consider the submission recorded herein and act on necessity. Mr. Nanda prays for interim protection.

Status quo be maintained till two weeks after result of the consideration is made known to petitioner provided, communication with fresh representation is made by 10th March, 2023. We make it clear, in event no representation is made within that time, the order of status quo will stand automatically vacated.

The writ petition is disposed of.
