S.K. Gangele, J.—Heard. The petitioner has filed this petition and prayed that a direction be issued to the respondent-Board for revaluation and re-checking of her answer sheet of Higher Mathematics subject.

The petitioner appeared in Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2), 2012-2013. She received 415 marks out of 500 including 76 marks out of 100 in Higher Mathematics. As per the petitioner, her answer sheet of Higher Mathematics has not been valued properly. She received photocopy of answer sheet of Higher Mathematics subject and as per the petitioner, against question Nos. 15, 17 and 18 "0" marks were allotted, however, the answers are correct and against questions No. 9, 10, 12 and 14, proper marks have not been given. The petitioner submitted an application for revaluation. The petitioner has cleared JEE Mains Examination 2013 for admission in IIT. As per the petitioner, due to improper valuation of her answer sheet of Higher Mathematics, her career in IIT would be adversely affected in accordance with the procedure of Joint Entrance Test.

The respondent-Board denied the allegation and in the short return pleaded that revaluation of the answer sheet of the petitioner is not permissible.

The Division Bench of this Court in the case of Rajesh Kumar Tripathi and Others Vs. Board of Secondary Education, has held that in the subject of Higher Mathematics revaluation is permissible if proper valuation has not been done.

After perusal of the answer sheet of Higher Mathematics subject of the petitioner, photo copy of which has been filed along with this writ petition, in my opinion, proper valuation of answer sheet of the petitioner of Higher Mathematics has not been done. Hence, the petition of the petitioner is allowed. The respondent-Board is directed to conduct revaluation of answer sheet of Higher Mathematics of the petitioner within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order upon depositing revaluation/re-checking charges. If the marks are changed then a supplementary mark sheet be issued to the petitioner within three days.
