Heard Mr.T.V.Kalyan Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Sharath, learned Standing Counsel for Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, appearing for respondent No.1. Perused the record.

The substantive grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is action on the part of respondents in declaring the petitioner as a non-local candidate and in the process, the petitioner has been excluded from being called for counselling, inspite of being meritorious among the local candidates.

Learned counsel for the petitioner referring to the school certificates enclosed along with the writ petition and submitted that that the petitioner had completed her studies from Standard I to X (CBSC) from Meridian School, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, from the year 2013 to 2023. Subsequently, she has done her intermediate course from Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Narayanguda, Hyderabad, for the academic year 2023-24 and 2025-26. Both these documents are sufficient enough to show that the petitioner has completed her studies from within the State of Telangana and she fulfils all the eligibility criteria for being declared as a local candidate.

Mr.T.Sharath, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-University, submits that in addition to the representation that the petitioner has already made, if she, further makes another representation supported with the aforesaid documents and other documents in support of her contention of she being a local candidate, the authorities will try to take a decision as expeditiously as possible and try to consider her claim in respect of third round of counselling, which is yet to take place.

Taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for respondent No.1, at this juncture, the Writ Petition stands disposed of, without expressing any opinion on the merits, subject to the petitioner further submitting a detailed representation, in addition to the representation already given, within a period of three days. Respondent No.1 is directed to forthwith process the same before the third counselling starts enabling the petitioner to get the benefits, if, she is entitled for in the third round of counselling. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
