Judgment
The paper books are already prepared and it is for the Lawyers to collect them. Learned counsel appearing for the Appellant in CRLA No.652 of 2015 states that he will collect the paper books and get ready with the matter and for that purpose, he seeks an adjournment.
As far as CRLA No.375 of 2015 is concerned, Mr. Sumit Sekhar Pattanayak, learned counsel states that after obtaining the bail, the Appellant has taken back the papers. Clearly, the Appellant is trying to avoid the hearing of the appeal. The Court accordingly cancels the bail granted by this Court vide order dated 10th March, 2023 and cancels the bail bonds of the Appellant- Md. Saja @ Md. Sajid and directs that he be taken back into custody by the IIC of the concerned Police State. A copy of this order be sent to the concerned IIC forthwith.
So that the appeal can proceed on the next date, the Court directs the Secretary, Orissa High Court Legal Services Committee (OHCLSC) to assign a lawyer with not less than ten years’ experience to appear for the Appellant in CRLA No.375 of 2015. The Registry will immediately prepare the complete paper book and supply it to the Secretary, OHCLSC who will in turn hand over the paper-book to the assigned lawyer forthwith. The said counsel will get in touch with the Appellant either physically in the prison or in virtual mode for instructions. The Superintendent of the concerned jail will facilitate this.

A copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Secretary, OHCLSC, the IIC of the concerned police station and also to the Superintendent of the concerned jail forthwith for immediate action.
