Judgment
It is stated that a twelve-year-old child residing at Golagaon under Dangadi Grama Panchayat in the district of Jajpur, who is in a very poor financial condition, is suffering from a rare medical disorder known as Epidermolysis Bullosa, which results in easy blistering of the skin and mucous membrane; and needs immediate medical attention.
Added to the misery is that the child is an orphan and is at the mercy of her neighbours for providing her with food. She is unable to get immediate medical treatment at the nearest available medical facility, i.e., in the District Headquarters Hospital at Jajpur.
In the circumstances, as an interim measure, it is directed that the present Petitioner-Mantu Das will accompany the said child and appear before the Medical Superintendent (MS) of the S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack on 24th November, 2022 at 11 a.m. and the MS will arrange to have her medically examined with specific attention to her peculiar problem and arrange for her immediate care and treatment.
Report of compliance be filed before this Court by the next date.
List on 30th November, 2022.
Issue an urgent certified copy of this order as per rules in the course of the day.
The Registrar General of this Court will communicate this order forthwith to the MS of the S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack telephonically and also by E-mail.
