This OA is filed challenging the Notification dated 28.09.2020 issued by respondents proposing to conduct the Limited Departmental Competitive
Examination for promotion to the cadre of PS Group ‘B’. The applicants have also claimed certain ancillary reliefs.
Today, when the OA is taken up, learned counsel for the applicant, in all fairness stated that the respondents have withdrawn the notification dated
28.09.2020. Thus, the very cause of action ceases to exist. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the appointment of post, between various
categories needs to be examined. We are of the view that the occasion would arise if only the respondents take any concrete steps in this behalf.
Therefore, this OA is dismissed as infructuous. It is left open to the applicants to pursue the remedies, in accordance with law.
There shall be no order as to costs.
