The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 with a prayer to issue directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to conduct a fair and impartial investigation in FIR No.68 dated 23.05.2026 registered under Sections 115(2), 126(2), 304, 351(2), 190 and 191(3) of the BNS (Sections 323, 341, 506, 148 and 149 of the IPC), at Police Station Lambran, District Jalandhar Rural (Annexure P-5), in a fair and impartial manner. A further prayer has also been made to issue directions to the investigating agency to collect the CCTV footage, Google Timeline data and Call Detail Records of both the parties, as the aforesaid FIR has allegedly been registered as a false counterblast to FIR No.120 dated 18.05.2026, registered under Sections 115(2), 190, 191(3) and 304 of the BNS (Sections 323, 148 and 149 of the IPC), at Police Station Sadar Kapurthala, District Kapurthala (Annexure P-3), against respondent No.6 and others.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been running from pillar to post but his grievance was not being redressed by the respondent authorities. Having been left with no other option, petitioner has approached the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, respondent No.3 by way of legal representation dated 26.07.2026 (Annexure P-7), but the same is also pending decision. He also submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case respondent No.3 is directed to look into the matter and take appropriate steps, in accordance with law.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and after going through the case file, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, respondent No.3 to consider the legal notice-cum-representation dated 26.07.2026 (Annexure P-7) and decide the same by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly as per law, within a period of two weeks from today.
