Judgment
VIRINDER AGGARWAL, J. (ORAL)
The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the BNSS/Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to conduct a proper and fair investigation in FIR No.96 dated 21.05.2026, registered under Sections 103(1), 190 and 191(3) of the BNSS, 2023 (corresponding to Sections 302, 149 and 148 of the IPC), at Police Station Shri Chamkaur Sahib, District Rupnagar.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.06.2026 (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar, and that he would be satisfied if an appropriate direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 15.06.2026 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioner and take necessary action thereupon, in accordance with law, within a time-bound manner.

Mr. J.S. Rattu, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that the needful shall be done in due course.
Keeping in view the prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 15.06.2026 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law, and to take appropriate action, if so required.
However, if respondent No.2 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation, the petitioner shall be informed thereof in accordance with law.
Petition stands disposed of.
