Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The writ petitions are filed with the following prayers:-

CWP No. 5535 of 2011

CWP No. 5544 of 2011

(a) That a writ of mandamus may kindly be issued directing the Respondents to regularize the services of the Petitioner w.e.f. September, 2001 on which date the Petitioner had completed 8 years of continuous service on daily wage with all consequential benefits or in the alternative the Respondents be directed to grant work charge status to the Petitioner w.e.f. September, 2001.

2.

According to the Petitioners, they are entitled to have regularization in terms of Annexure P-1 policy. As rightly pointed out by the learned Additional Advocate General, regularization would depend upon the availability of vacancy and their eligibility in terms of the seniority. The Petitioners submit that there are vacancies. The Petitioners further submit that they may be permitted to file appropriate representations before the second Respondent. In the event of such representations being filed, the same will be considered and appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, will be passed within four months from the date of production of the copy of this judgment alongwith the copy of the writ petition by the Petitioner concerned.

The writ petitions are disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
