Nidhi Gupta, J

Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to official respondents 1 to 5 to make arrangements so that petitioner can freely move from one place to another as he apprehends threat at the hands of respondent No.6; as also for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner from respondent no.6 in view of representation dated 4.11.2022 (Annexure P-3)

At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer only to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner; and withdraws his prayer to make arrangements for free movement of the petitioner, as noticed above.

In view of the above, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda-Respondent no.3 is directed to look into the representation dated 04.11.2022 (Annexure P3) made by the petitioner and to assess threat perception to the petitioner and after considering the same, Respondent no.3 shall take necessary action in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of with abovesaid directions.
