ORDER:

Heard Mr. K. Suyodh Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned standing counsel for the respondents No.2 to 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner placed on record Notification No.Compliance/E-1203096/2025/2823 whereby it is stated that vide notification No.G.S.R.525 (E) dated 29.06.2026, the Central Government has notified VISHWAS 2026 for amicable settlement of disputes arising out of the Employees Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (for short 'the Act'). It is stated that the petitioner would avail the benefit of the scheme and requested interim protection to be granted pending consideration of the application of the petitioner for amicable settlement.

Learned standing counsel submitted that the petitioner may be directed to file an appropriate application under the VISHWAS 2026 scheme.

In view of the above submissions, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to file an application for amicable settlement of dues payable to the Employees Provident Fund Organization pursuant to order passed under Section 7(A)(1)(b) of the Act dated 13.12.2023 and consequential summons dated 01.05.2024 and show cause notice of warrant dated 10.07.2026, within a period of fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Until the application of the petitioner is disposed of, there shall be stay of all further proceedings pursuant to Recovery Certificate dated 19.04.2024 and Notice of Demand dated 01.05.2024.

The miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
