Ahanthem Bimol Singh, J

Heard Mrs. Donapriya Asem, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondent No.1 and Mr. L. Raju, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 2.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and as agreed to by all the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the Motion stage itself.

At the outset, Mrs. Donapriya Asem, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner have already submitted a representation dated 04-09-2023 to the Municipal Commissioner, Imphal Municipal Corporation and the said representation is pending without any consideration. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Municipal Corporation to consider the said representation submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and in terms of the direction given by this court in its judgment and order dated 19-11-2019 passed in WP(C) No. 757 of 2018 and other analogous cases and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period.

Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA and Mr. L. Raju, learned counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is limited to consideration and disposal of the presentation submitted by him, they have no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Municipal Commissioner, Imphal Municipal Corporation to consider the aforesaid representation submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the direction given by this court in its judgment and order dated 19-11-2019 passed in WP(C) No. 757 of 2018 and other analogous cases and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
