H. S. Thangkhiew, J

Ms. R. Colney, learned GA for the State respondents No. 1-4 submits that pursuant to the order dated 11.07.2023, the location of the petitioner No. 1 who was stated to be untraceable, has since been traced. She submits that he is now presently staying with his relatives at Nongstoin. She further submits that he has also appeared before the Police Station on 18.07.2023.

This submission is concurred to by Mr. L. Shongwan, learned counsel for the petitioner who however, has apprised this Court that though there are no overt actions on the part of the respondents, there is a strong suspicion that harassment is still being caused to them, as there has been vandalism and other petty incidents to the properties and vehicle of the writ petitioner.

This Court at this stage, requires an affidavit to be filed by the State respondents. Further, it is noted that this matter being a social problem, perhaps the State respondents have to explore other possibilities to settle the dispute.

Ms. S. Rumthao, learned counsel vice Mr. J. Shylla, learned counsel on behalf of the respondent No. 5, that is the Dorbar Shnong of Mawmluh-II Village is also directed to advise the said respondents accordingly, so that there is no disturbance or any kind of law and order situation created.

List this matter on 18th August, 2023 for affidavit.
