The complaint of police inaction does not survive the steps taken by the police authorities subsequent to the filing of the writ petition.

The petitioner complains that, the private respondents have sold a property belonging to the petitioner showing the sale through a person who was dead on the date of the execution of the document. The police authorities were not looking into such complaint.

The Public Prosecutor appearing for the police authorities submits that, three documents have since been taken into custody. The documents have since been sent to the forensic department for examination and opinion. Two accused persons have applied for anticipatory bail and obtained the same. The police have applied for cancellation of the bail.

In such circumstances, no further order need be passed in the present writ petition.

W.P. 26005 (W) OF 2017 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
