This is an application seeking appropriate orders.
The learned advocate appearing for the respondent no.6 submits that, her client has expired on November 1, 2017.
The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner is not proceeding against the deceased respondent no.6 as also his heirs and legal representatives.
In such circumstances, the death of the respondent no.6 is recorded. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner, the heirs and legal representatives of the deceased respondent no. 6 need not be taken on record as the petitioner is not proceeding against the heirs and legal representatives of the deceased respondent no.6. no order is passed against such persons in this writ petition.
There subsists an order dated April 20, 2016 directing the officerin- charge to ensure that until further orders are passed, the petitioners are protected, peace and tranquility at the locale are maintained and that there is no loss of lives and limbs as a result of the inter se dispute between the petitioners and the private respondents. Affidavits were directed to be filed.
The learned advocate appearing for the State on the basis of a written instruction submits that, a charge sheet has since been filed on October 5, 2016.
Be that as it may, in view of the subsisting order dated July, 20, 2016 and in view of the allegations made by the petitioners that, the petitioners have not been allowed to cultivate the land in question, a report is called for from the concerned officer-in-charge. In such report, the concerned officer-in-charge will state the measures taken by the police authorities subsequent to April 20, 2016 and the steps taken for the purpose of redressal of the grievances of the petitioner as enumerated in the order. Let such report be filed on January 29, 2018.
