This petition has been filed for the following prayers:

"(i) That this original Application may kindly be allowed and respondents may kindly be directed to fix the pay of the applicant by placing him in the pay scale of Rs. 2820-4400/- and further grant him grade pay of Rs. 1650/- on account of revision of pay scales w.e.f. 01.01.2006 from the date he completed 8 years of service and quash and set aside the order dated 23.08.2011 Annexure A-3.

(ii) That the respondents may be directed to grant him complete arrears accruing to the applicant on account of re-fixation of his pay in pursuance to the revision of his pay scale alongwith interest @ 18% per annum."

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner submitted that alongwith the reply filed by respondent No. 2 to the petition, an office order dated 4.2.2012 (Annedure R- 1) has been appended. That as per this office order, relief No. 1 prayed for by the petitioner has been sanctioned in petitioner's favour. Learned senior counsel further submitted that the only surviving relief now is with respect to the release of arrears to the petitioner in terms of Annexure R-1. It is further submitted that the petitioner would be content in case he is permitted to represent to respondent No. 2 within a period of two weeks for release of arrears in terms of office order dated 4.2.2012 ( Annexure R-1) and respondent No. 2 be directed to decide such representation within a further period of four weeks.

Learned counsel for the respondents is not averse to the aforesaid prayer.

Therefore, this petition is closed by permitting the petitioner to represent to respondent No. 2 for his aforementioned surviving grievance, within a period of two weeks. In case, such a representation is made within the aforesaid period then the same shall be decided by the competent authority within a further period of two weeks by passing reasoned order thereupon. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
