Judgment

This petition is filed seeking for quashment of Crime No.280 of 2022 registered against the petitioners on the file of respondent No.1, for the offences under Sections 294 (b), 323, 324, 506 (2) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.
The petitioners and respondent No.2 / defacto complainant have amicably resolved the disputes and to have filed a memo of compromise. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) reported no instructions.
Considering the submissions made above, the Officer in-charge of the High Court Legal Services Committee is directed to verify the identity of the defacto complainant and the accused persons with the aid of Aadhar card or any other recognised identity cards and also ensure that the latest photograph of the defacto complainant and the accused affixed on the memo of compromise. Further, the respondent police are also directed to be present and identify the defacto complainant and accused. After establishing identity, the Officer in-charge is directed to inquire, informally, as to whether there is any force or coercement on either of the parties compelling them to compromise and send the report by 07.08.2023.
The parties are directed to appear before the Officer in-charge, High Court Legal Services Committee on 31.07.2023 and for filing the report, list on 07.08.2023.
