Heard Mr. M. Talukdar, learned counsel for the appellants. Also heard Mr. K.K. Bhatta, learned counsel for the respondent no.1.

Due to Covid-19 protocol in force, the matter has been taken up by remote video conferencing mode.

The learned counsel for the appellants and the respondent no.1 have jointly submitted that an award of Rs.12,71,688/- (Rupees twelve lakh seventy

one thousand six hundred eighty eight rupees only) was passed vide order and award dated 30.12.2019 passed by the learned Member, MACT,

Kamrup, Amingaon in MAC Case No.258/2018. After negotiated settlement, the said parties have agreed that in addition to the award, a further

deposit of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakh only) inclusive of interest would satisfy the said award in full and final settlement of all the claims of the

appellants. Accordingly, the learned counsel for the appellants has agreed that the respondent no.1 deposit the balance settlement amount of

Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakh only) before the Registry of this Court within a period of 4 (four) weeks from today.

On such deposit being made, the Registry shall convert a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) into fixed deposit in respect of appellant no.3 till

the age of attaining majority and the remaining amount shall be released to the appellant nos.1 and 2 in equal proportion on being identified by their

learned counsel.

In the event the settlement sum is not deposited within the time allowed, it would be open to the appellant nos.1, 2 and 3 to enforce the settlement

amount.

On the deposit of balance settlement amount, Registry shall release the statutory deposit made by the appellant.

This appeal stands disposed of on Lok Adalat.
