This writ petition is being disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both parties.

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief:

“..to issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, by declaring the action of the 1st respondent in not

releasing the salary to the petitioner from 01.06.2016 to 31.12.2016, which are due to him, despite recommendation made by the 2nd respondent vide

Lr. Roc. No. 3560/ 2018/M1 dated .09.2018, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional being violative of Articles 14, 16 and 21 of Constitution of India

and consequently direct the 1st respondent to release the salary due to the petitioner, with interest, by considering and passing orders on the

representations, the latest being dt.10.3.2021 and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the

circumstances of the case.â€​

Heard Sri S. Gopal Rao, counsel for the petitioner, and Government Pleader for Services-III appearing for the respondents.

It has been contended by the petitioner that he is a retired Director of Town and Country Planning. The grievance of the petitioner is that the

respondents have not paid him salary from 1.06.2016 to 31.12.2016. The petitioner has submitted a detailed representation to the respondents on

10.03.2021 and the 2nd respondent has also recommended to the 1st respondent in September, 2018, for release of salary to the petitioner for the

aforesaid period, but so far no orders have been passed on the said representation.

Therefore, counsel for the petitioner has submitted that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the

representation dated 10.03.2021 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Government Pleader appearing for the respondents had submitted that since the petitioner’s representation is pending with the respondents, the

respondents would consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions made by learned counsel for respective parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition

can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 10.03.2021 and pass appropriate orders, in

accordance with law, within a reasonable period of time, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
