Judgment
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents.
2 This writ application has been filed praying that this Court should direct the respondents to make proper investigations in respect of the alleged kidnapping of the informant's daughter claimed to be of 14 years old.
3 It is submitted that specific names of accused persons have been stated but action has not been taken by the police and the investigation does not inspire any confidence.
4 A counter affidavit has been filed by the State. Office Order dated 06.01.2021 as well as Office Order dated 23.10.2021 have been brought on record. From the same, it appears that Special Investigation Team has been constituted to recover the victim and directions have also been issued by the Superintendent of Police, Katihar in this regard.
5 The action taken by the police apparently does not give any scope for this Court to issue any direction in this matter.
6 This Court would only observe that the thrust of the investigation should not diminish on account of refusal by this Court to exercise writ jurisdiction for the present.
7 This application is disposed of.
