The only relief sought for in the writ petition is for a direction to the 1st respondent to expedite the proceedings in C.M.P.No.41 of 2023 pending before it.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader and having regard to the limited nature of relief sought for in the writ petition, I am of the opinion that this writ petition can be disposed of without notice to the respondents. The writ petition will stand disposed of directing the 1st respondent to expedite the proceedings on C.M.P.No.41 of 2023 and endeavor to complete the proceedings thereon, within the shortest possible time and at any rate, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. If for any reason, the proceedings cannot be completed within the aforesaid time period, it will be open to the 1st respondent to seek further extension of time by addressing a letter to the Registry of this Court. If any such letter is received, the Registry shall place the same before this Court for suitable directions.
