Judgment

In this O.A., the applicants seek relief in relation to the recruitment to the post of Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police. The dispute in the present O.A. is as to whether the applicants, who are internal candidates and have crossed the age of 30 years, are entitled to participate in the selection process. The Recruitment Rules were amended reducing the age from 40 to 30 years.
The O.A. has undergone several changes. It was adjourned sine die at one stage, noticing that identical issue is pending consideration before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. Today, we have taken up the O.A. to take into account various developments.
The issue involved in the O.A. was dealt with by this Tribunal in O.A. No.1650/2013 and it was decided in favour of the applicants therein. However, the applicants were not satisfied with those directions and they filed W.P. (C) No.2034/2015. That was decided on 20.04.2017. Thereagain, the writ petitioners therein were not satisfied and filed SLP No.23256/2017 before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, which is said to be pending adjudication. On another issue also, which is raised in this O.A., the adjudication is taking place in W.P. (C) No.10008/2018.
When the issues involved in this O.A. are under consideration by the Hon'ble High Court and Hon'ble Supreme Court, we find it difficult to adjudicate the same.
We, therefore, close the O.A. leaving it open to the applicants to work out their remedies depending upon the outcome in SLP No.23256/2017 and W.P. (C) No.10008/2018.
There shall be no order as to costs.
