The present is an appeal which has been preferred against the order passed by the learned Single Judge on dated 28.09.2022, whereby the writ petition preferred by the appellants has been dismissed on the statement of the counsel for the respondents that appellant No.1 had given an affidavit wherein she has stated that there is no threat perception and she does not want to proceed with the petition.

Counsel for the appellants contends that no such affidavit had been given by appellant No.1 and rather the papers were got signed by the police officials under threat and coercion. This contention of the counsel for the appellants cannot be accepted as had it been the position, the said aspect should have been brought to the notice of the learned Single Judge.

In the absence of such aspect having been pointed out before the learned Single Judge, we are not inclined to accept the bald statement of the appellants. The appeal, therefore, stands dismissed.
