The present Criminal Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.
Without commenting on the merits of the case, at the outset, it is submitted that the representation (Annexure P-4) dated 30.09.2022 has been submitted to respondent No.2 and an e-mail to the said effect has also been sent on 1st October 2022.
Keeping in view the above facts and without commenting upon the legality of the petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this court deems to dispose of the present petition with direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 30.09.2022 (Annexure P-4) and to assess the threat perception to the petitioners after considering the same, respondent No.2 and 3 shall take action in accordance with law.
Accordingly the present petition is disposed of.
