The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 08.06.2022 (Anenxure P-3) whereby he was awarded punishment of forfeiture of three annual increments.
The petitioner was awarded punishment of forfeiture of three annual increments on account of registration of FIR against him under Section 498-A, 406, 34 of IPC. On account of compromise, FIR has been quashed by this Court.
Mr.I.S.Dhaliwal, Advocate, at the outset, submits that grievance of the petitioner, at this stage, would be redressed if respondent
is directed to decide his representation dated 01.02.2024 (Annexure P-5) in a time bound manner.

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents and assures the Court that the competent Authority would look into the matter and pass an appropriate order within 03 months from today.
