Heard Mr. Ajit Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned APP for the State on the matter of provisional bail.

Counsel for the appellant prays for grant of provisional bail for a period of two weeks to the appellant on the ground that the marriage of his daughter is going to be solemnized on 09.05.2016.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned Addl. P.P. submitted that the factum of marriage is correct which is scheduled to be held on 09.05.2016 as is evident from the statement made in paragraph-4 of the counter affidavit filed by the Officer-in-Charge, Rania Police, Station, District Khunti.

In view of the submission, the trial court (learned Addl. Sessions Judge-I, Khunti) is directed to admit the appellant (Jai Narayan Singh) on provisional bail for a period of two weeks from today on such terms and conditions as he may deem fit and proper in connection with Sessions Trial No.288 of 2013.

On completion of the period of provisional bail, the appellant must surrender before the court below, failing which the court below shall take all steps for securing his presence.

I.A. No.2050 of 2016 stands disposed of.
