With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for disposal.

The writ petition is filed declaring the action of the respondents in not regularizing the services of the petitioners and not releasing annual grade increments to the petitioners from 2018 onwards and not effecting RPS 2020 pay scales to the petitioners as arbitrary and illegal

Heard Sri Ravi Kondaveeti, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Services-I for respondent Nos.1 and 2 and Sri Ramesh Chilla, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.3 and perused the record.

Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners has confined his relief to the extent of making representation to the respondents seeking regularization of services of the petitioners.

It is submitted that all the petitioners were initially engaged as NMRs during the years 1989 to 1992 and they are working continuously. Therefore, petitioners' seeks liberty to make representation to the respondents for regularization of their services and further prays to direct the respondents to consider the said representation by regularizing their services in terms of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in State of Punjab v. Jagjit Singh1.

The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submits that the respondents will consider the representation to be submitted by the petitioners, and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law.

Having regard to the submissions made by the respective parties and without going into merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioners to make representation by narrating all the facts and legal position to the respondents within a period of ten (10) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon receiving such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders thereon, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks thereof. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.

In view of the orders passed in the writ petition, the Contempt Case No. 347 of 2024 is closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
