The applicants retired as Senior Lecturers from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), New Delhi. They made representation to the respondents with a request to grant the benefit of two MACPs to some of them, and one MACP to others.

They have also got issued a legal notice dated 16.04.2018. On their part, the respondents informed the Advocate through communication dated 11.05.2018 that the matter is under process. Now, this OA is filed with a prayer to direct the respondents to decide the representations made by the applicants in a time bound manner.

We heard Shri K. P. Gupta, learned counsel for the applicant.

Even from the reply issued by the respondents, the claim of the applicants is under process. It would naturally take some time. However, the issue cannot be kept pending indefinitely.

We, therefore, dispose of the OA directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representations made by the applicants as regards the extension of benefit of MACP within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
