Judgment

The applicant retired from the service of Western Railways as Sr. Section Officer on 31.05.2016. According to him, his basic pay was not fixed properly and that the basic pay due to him under the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) was not taken into account.
The applicant contends that the National Anomaly Committee (NAC) for 7th CPC held its meeting on 17.07.2018 and addressed this very issue in item No. 4. He made a representation on 21.02.2018 with a request to cause necessary corrections in this behalf. This OA is filed with a prayer to direct the respondents to implement the recommendations of the NAC.
We heard Mr. T. N. Tripathi, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. Krishna Kant Sharma, learned counsel for the respondents.
The applicant submitted his representation on 21.02.2018. The NAC met thereafter on 17.07.2018. The questions as to whether any concrete steps were taken on the suggestion made by the NAC and if so, whether the plea of applicant for re-fixing his basic pay need, can be accepted, need to be examined by the respondents.
We, therefore, dispose of the OA directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation of the applicant dated 21.02.2018 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
