This petition has been filed by the petitioners under Section 528 of BNSS for extension of time to deposit the compensation amount as directed by this Court passed in Lok Adalat vide order dated 13.09.2025 in Cr.R. No.765/2006.
It is the submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioners that this Court, vide order dated 13.09.2025 passed in Cr.R. No. 765/2006, while partly allowing the revision, had directed the petitioners to deposit a compensation amount of Rs.3000/- within a period of two months from the date of the order. However, due to non-communication, the petitioner could not deposit the said amount within the stipulated time. This mistake is bona fide. Therefore, he seeks further one month's time to deposit the compensation amount and prays for allowing this petition in the interest of justice.
After hearing learned counsel for petitioner, this Court deems it fit to extend the time to deposit the compensation amount, as directed by this Court vide order dated 13.09.2025 passed in Cr.R. No.765/2006.
Considering the submission and the fact and circumstances of the case, this petition is allowed and petitioner is granted 30 days' more time from today to deposit the compensation amount as imposed vide order dated 13.09.2025 passed in Cr.R. No.765/2006. Both the orders shall read in conjunction.
With the aforesaid, petition stands allowed and disposed of. Remaining part of the order dated 13.09.2025 passed in Cr.R. No.765/2006 shall remain intact.
A copy of this order be kept in the record of Cr.R. No.765 of 2006.
