The petitioner through the instant petition under Articles 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondents to decide representation dated 06.06.2023 (Annexure P-1) and reminders dated 18.08.2023 (Annexure P-2) and 11.09.2023 (Annexure P-3).

Counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that grievance of the petitioner, at this stage, would be redressed if respondents are directed to decide his representations in the light of judgment of Supreme Court in Dev Dutt Vs. Union of India and others, (2008) 8 SCC 725.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

With the consent of both sides, the present petition is taken up for final disposal.

Mr. Aman Dhir, learned State counsel assures the Court that Competent Authority would decide representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, within 8 weeks from today.

In the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the present petition stands disposed of. The Competent Authority, while deciding the representation of the petitioner, would take care of the judgment passed by the Apex Court in Devdutt (Supra).
