The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 30.07.2021 (Annexure P-14) whereby he has been denied promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police from the date of promotion of his junior. The petitioner is further seeking direction to respondents to decide his representation dated 23.08.2022 (Annexure P-17) and legal notice dated 15.05.2023 (Annexure P-18).
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by order dated 24.05.2023 passed by this Court in Pritpal Singh v. State of Punjab and another, CWP No.24740 of 2022.
Learned State counsel submits that representation of the petitioner would be decided within 4 weeks from today and competent authority while disposing of representation of the petitioner would take care of the aforesaid order.
In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.
