Judgment
The writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:
a. A writ in the nature of mandamus be issued in favour of the petitioners and against the respondents commanding the respondents to release the
gratuity/commutation in favour of the petitioners from the date of their retirement along with interest at the rate of 12%.
Learned counsel for the petitioners states that there are two petitioners in the instant writ petition and in so far as petitioner No.2 is concerned, a
consideration order dated 31st October, 2016, has been passed in his favour. However, in so far as the claim of petitioner No.2 is concerned, no
order has been passed till date.
Mr. Wani, learned AAG, states that the case of the petitioner No.1 will be considered and a consideration order passed within such time period
as may be specified by this Court.
In this view of the matter, the writ petition is admitted to hearing and is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.1 to accord consideration
to the claim of the petitioner No.1 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in respect thereto within a period of twelve weeks from the date
of receipt of copy of this order.
Writ petition along with connected MP(s) stands disposed of in the above terms.
