Judgment

Though Mr. S.K. Hassan, learned counsel submits that he is just a stand in counsel on behalf of Mr. S.A. Sheikh, learned counsel for the petitioner who is not present in Court due to personal difficulty, however, the nature of the matter deserves that it be disposed of at this stage itself, as it involves compensation due to death by electrocution.
As noted by the order dated 15.11.2022, Ms. R. Colney, the learned counsel for the respondent Corporation had apprised this Court that a representation dated 25.10.2021 that had been filed by the petitioner is still yet to be disposed of, and further that the respondent Corporation has an ex-gratia Scheme, under which the representation will be examined.
As the incident happened as far back in 2020, it is therefore directed that the respondent Corporation take up the representation and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible for award of compensation, within a period of 6(six) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. This is without prejudice to any further rights of the petitioner, if new a cause of action arises.
With the above directions, this writ petition stands closed and is accordingly disposed of.
