When the Original Application taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the applicant invited our attention to PPO issued to the applicant produced as Annexure A7 along with an application filed today. According to the applicant, pursuant to the above, a sum of Rs. 18,43,924/-was disbursed to him on 17.08.2026 (though mentioned as 17.06.2026 in the application).
The learned Counsel for the applicant submitted that to that extent, the applicant is satisfied. However, he has a grievance that the provisional pension due for the month of July, 2026 at Rs. 34,760/- has not been disbursed. He also claimed the interest on the delayed payment of pension and gratuity.
Having heard both sides, we are inclined to close the O.A itself by recording the receipt of Rs. 18,43,924/- and directing the respondents to pay, if, due and not paid to the applicant a sum of Rs. 34,760/- as provisional pension for the month of July, 2026, claimed by the applicant. The amount shall be paid within a period of one month from today. We are inclined to permit the applicant to make representation regarding the claim for interest on the delayed payment of pension and gratuity, within a period of one month from today. If such a representation is made, the competent authority shall pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months' from the date of receipt of that representation.
The O.A is closed subject to the above direction. No costs.
