Judgment
Justice L. Narasimha Reddy:
The applicant is working as Director (Veterinary Services) in North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). He is attaining the age of superannuation on completion of 60 years, on 31.12.2020.
This O.A. is filed with a prayer to direct the respondents to extend the age of superannuation from 60 years to 65 years, in terms of the orders issued by the Government of India dated 31.05.2016, read with amended F.R. 56.
We heard Mr. Randhir Kumar, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. R.V. Sinha, Mr. Sanjeev Yadav and Mr. R.K. Jain, learned counsel for the respondents.
This very issue was dealt with by the Tribunal in OA No.1269/2020 dated 11.09.2020 holding that the benefit of the age of superannuation from 60 years to 65 years is not available to veterinary doctors.
The O.A. is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
