Judgment
The issue raised in this application is with regard to waste management systems in Chandigarh.
The application was filed on 29.9.2015. Notice was issued on 6.10.2015.
From time to time, further directions were issued for compliance of waste management norms at Chandigarh. Same issue was also dealt with separately in OA No. 199/2014, Almitra H. Patel & Anr. vs. Union of India & Ors., vide order dated 22.12.2016, (2016) SCC Online NGT 2981, requiring all the States/UTs to strictly comply with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016. Thereafter, monitoring of compliance has been taking place separately in OA No. 606/2018. Chief Secretaries of all the States/UTs have been required to appear in person with compliance status reports and further directions have been issued.
In view of above, no further order is shown to be necessary in this application.
Leaving the matter of monitoring of waste management compliance open in the said proceedings, this application is disposed of.
All pending MAs will also stand disposed of.
