Judgment

In the course of hearing, it is brought to the notice of the Court that the application of the writ petitioner is awaiting final orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and that the request has been forwarded since 28.05.2025. On the last date, a communication dated 12.06.2025 has also been produced, wherein the Medical Branch of the Assam Rifles Respondent had made a request for further 6(six) weeks’ time to obtain the outcome from the Ministry.
Though today elaborate arguments have been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner, as the final outcome from the Ministry is still awaited, in the considered view of this Court, perhaps some more time may be allowed to the Ministry to pass appropriate orders on the application of the writ petitioner.
Accordingly, it is directed that the respondent No. 1, shall dispose of the request of the writ petitioner within a period of 10(ten) days’ time from today. Further, as it has been submitted that by letter dated 10.06.2025, the NEIGRIHMS has allowed the writ petitioner 15(fifteen) days to join, the said joining date shall be left open till the outcome of the consideration is received on the next date.
List this matter on 2nd July, 2025 for further orders.
Copy of the order be supplied to the learned DSGI for communication.
