Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents, particularly Respondent No. 4/Commissioner, for grant of the benefit of the second time-bound pay scale, to which the Petitioner claims entitlement with effect from 26.09.2021, upon completion of 16 years of service. It is submitted that, upon completion of eight years of service, the Petitioner was granted the benefit of the first time-bound pay scale vide order dated 27.09.2018, with effect from 26.09.2013. Learned counsel further submits that similarly situated employees have already been extended the benefit of the second time-bound pay scale, whereas the Petitioner's case has not been considered for the same. It is also submitted that the Petitioner submitted a representation (Annexure P-3), which was forwarded by the Dean, CIMS, Bilaspur, in the year 2022, but the same remains pending consideration. Learned counsel, therefore, prays that the Respondents be directed to consider and decide the Petitioner's pending representation within a stipulated period.
Learned State counsel submits that, if the Petitioner's representation is pending consideration before the competent authority, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law, after due verification of the relevant facts, within a stipulated period.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

In the event the Petitioner is found eligible for the benefit of the second time-bound pay scale, the competent authority shall extend the consequential benefit to him, in accordance with the applicable rules and policy.
With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
Petitioner is at liberty to apprise the respondent about the order passed by this court.
