Hon’ble Mr. Anand Mathur,Member(A)

Learned counsel for applicants states that the applicants want to apply for the post Assistant Professor as per Advertisement Notification date 12.0.2022. Originally the last date of submission of online application forms was 12.8.2022 which was later extended to 26.08.2022, vide order dated 16.08.2022. The problem that the applicants are facing is that although they are eligible for age relaxation upto 45 years of age, the system is not accepting their candidature as their age is more than 40 years which is prescribed for open market candidates. Therefore, applicants have made a representation to the J&K Public Service Commission, but no response has been received as yet and the last date of submission is 26.08.2022. He therefore, pleads that the applicants may be permitted to submit a hard copy of their applications so that the same is considered by the J&K Public Service Commission if they are otherwise found to be eligible.

2.

Learned counsel for answering respondent Mr. Amin, accepts advance notice on behalf of respondents and states that he needs a couple of days’ time to check up full details of the case of the applicants. At this juncture, learned counsel for the applicants pleads that he would be satisfied if a direction is given to the J&K Public Service Commission, to accept hard copies of the applications of the applicants subject to their being found eligible otherwise, at their own risk and costs.

3.

In view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for the applicants, respondent No.2 is hereby directed to accept hard copies of applications of the applicants subject to their being found otherwise eligible. With this, the present OA stands disposed of. No order as to costs.

A copy of this order be given Dasti.
