Mr. R. Kharkrang, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Agreement between the Dorbar Shnong of Sohkymphor Nein and Dorbar Shnong of Sohkymphor Pohshnong has since been executed, and the same has been forwarded to the Executive Committee (Respondent No.1), for consideration, and that a prayer has been made in the joint letter of the writ petitioner and the respondent No. 6, that steps be taken by the respondent No. 1, to recall the Notification dated 12.03.2021.

The learned counsel further submits that as the matter is before the District Council, perhaps they may be directed to dispose of the request as made by the parties, as expeditiously as possible.

Mr. M.L. Nongpiur, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the District Council respondent also submits that it is a fact that the Agreement that has been executed on 09.11.2024, between the writ petitioner and the respondent No. 6, is before the Executive Committee. He further submits that the same will be duly examined, and appropriate orders passed thereon.

In view of the submissions made, it is seen that nothing remains for consideration before this Court. As such, the District Council respondents are directed to dispose of the matter expeditiously preferably within a period of 6(six) weeks, from the date of this order.

Needless to add, if a fresh cause of action arises, the parties are free to take recourse to legal remedy.

As ordered above, the matter stands closed and is accordingly disposed of.
